Cowboy up, partner. We're burnin' daylight.

Welcome to our outfit!

As I reflect on experiences I was fortunate to have, I feel blessed in many ways. The one that had the most impact on me was during the fall of 2001. My wife and I were running the archery hunting base camp in California Park, Colorado. The morning of September 11th I drove out to a location where I could use my cell phone to check on the hunter’s success when I turned on the radio. To my shock and surprise a first hand account of the devastation in New York City was consuming the airwaves. I will never forget how I felt that day. At 9000 feet in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, one of the most beautiful places on earth, I realized how important it is to never loose sight of the small things in life. Sharing those experiences with you is the foundation of the Appalachia Spring Ranch.

It is our wish that everyone who visits us leaves with a positive experience. Our guides and wranglers were hand picked and are the best of the best. If you choose to come to Appalachia Spring Ranch be prepared for action. Everything you get involved in is hands-on activity oriented. By the time you leave you will feel like you are part of the family.

You will learn in a hands-on experience oriented program of wilderness adventure.  Offerings range from “The Maverick”, for those of you who just want to brush up on a few outdoor skills to the “Guide and Packers School” for those of you interested in pursuing a career in the great outdoors. Our programs are designed for youth and adults and include corporate as well as youth teambuilding.  Check the program section for more details.

We look forward to sharing our knowledge of outdoor sports in hopes to stimulate and promote a love and respect of the outdoors and outdoor sports.  We promise to provide the best of the best in experiences.  These are the hallmarks of Appalachia Spring Ranch.

Our Wilderness Adventure School Facilities:
Students are taught in an outdoor setting. The class area consists of the Appalachia Spring Ranch, bordering Bald Eagle State Forest, Snyder County, Pennsylvania. The students will be quartered in our ranch bunkhouse or tent camp.
