Youth Horsemanship Camps The purpose of the camp is to teach horsemanship skills similar to those used by guides and outfitters in hunting and fishing camps out west. This is an introduction to the skills that we teach at Appalachia Spring Ranch in the Guide and Packers School. The skills vary greatly from those taught in traditional stables and riding arenas. The focus of the program includes: riding in mountain terrain and caring for horses miles away from civilization, building leadership, communication and team skills, and building an awareness of careers in outdoor recreation. $100/day (includes 2 meals and 6 hours of instruction) Horse Riding Lessons Call to discuss the many possibilities for your youth group.
Reservations are required with a 50% reservation fee to secure the date and time. |
