Clair & Sandy's Home Away From Home
November 2005

We had a great time with the kids while in Farragut. We were busy all the time. Steve and Michelle bought the house while we were here, so the motorhome is our only home now.

It was great visiting with our family and friends and catching up on the news. While on our Alaska trip we compiled a list of several items that needed corrected on the motorhome, so we had that taken care of at Rhone’s. They were great in fixing the problems, but it required more than one day so they hooked us up overnight so we could stay in the motorhome.

We were in Farragut for five weeks and the time just flew by. The weather was great the whole time we were here.

Wednesday, November 9th It’s time to head for Texas. We left Farragut at 10:00 am and traveled to Staunton VA and the Walnut Hills RV Park. Dick and Betty Souter came over to the campground to visit and we went out to eat dinner together.

Thursday, November 10th we left Staunton and traveled to the Escapees Raccoon Valley RV Park in Heiskell,TN. We went to the bluegrass jam session in the rec hall in the evening. We will stay here at least a week. We like this park as there is a lot to do and see in this area.

Saturday, November 11th we took a ride over Cades Cove in the Smokey Mountain Nat’l Park. The weather was great and the scenery was beautiful.

Sunday November 12th we attended another jam session. Very enjoyable.

We have decided to spend Thanksgiving here at Raccoon Valley and then we will head on to Texas.
