Friday June 9th our favorite (only) granddaughter Chelsea went along with us on a tour of New York State. Our first stop was at Tioga Hammond Corps of Engineers Park in Tioga, PA. From here we took the car and drove over to Wellsboro and the PA Grand Canyon.

Saturday we traveled up along Seneca Lake and New York’s wine country. We stopped and spent the night at Sampson State Park on the lake.

Sunday June 11th we moved up to Lake Ontario at Wolcott and the Cherry Grove Campground. From here we toured Sodus Point and the lighthouse and on along the lake shore east to Owego.

Day 2 we went over to Syracuse where Chelsea wanted to see Syracuse University. This was a nice ride and a nice campus with a beautiful rose garden.

Day 3 we went down to the Montezuma Nat’l Wildlife Refuge at Auburn. We saw all types of wildlife and waterfowl at the refuge. We also met Roger and Marion Mannerberg fellow SKP’s we last saw in Tennessee, who were work camping at the refuge.

Wednesday June 14th we left Wolcott and traveled to Cooperstown and visited the baseball hall of fame. We stayed at a campground on a working farm with lots of animals and Chelsea got to milk a cow before we left in the morning.

Thursday June 15th we left Cooperstown and traveled to Corning where we stayed at Ferenbaugh Campground.

Friday June 16th we went to Watkins Glen State Park where we walked up the glen. This was the first time we did this and it is truly beautiful and well worth the walk. We then went out to the race track and watched some stock cars practice on the track.

Saturday June 17th we returned to Farragut. We all had a great time and it was very nice to have Chelsea with us..
